I could possibly be the worst blogger ever! I get too distracted and with my terrible phone and terrible computer it proves quite difficult keeping a log of my life!
Whats new with me...absolutely nothing! Im still working, still need to make the wedding dress; which I start next week so keep an eye out for pictures, and still trying to figure my life out. I think my ultimate aim is to own a shop with my mother. I'll source vintage clothings and sell my own designs, my mama will sell homeware and do window dressing ~ 'cause no-one can dress a room or a window quite like my mama!
I'm going to go on an eveing course in business after uni so I understand how to run a business otherwise it stands very little chance of ever getting off the ground.
I've been talking to a woman who owns a vintage shop about hopefully helping out there; altering garments, customizing and even selling my own clothes. It all seems quite promising so fingers crossed it works out and I can start enjoying clothes again!!
Before I went to uni I was always making myself a new outfit but since being at uni I've lost my passion for clothes and for sewing. I decided to do costume at uni because I thought it would suit me more than fashion would but I've realized that fashion is where my heart is. I didn't chose fashion because I was never entirely sure of designers or the new trends or shapes but I now know that that doesn't really matter. I have an ecletic style and an eye for putting looks together to suit a person not to fit a current trend. Trends are momentary, Style is eternal!

Sewing some style!!
Its been much too long since my first and only post, I will try and be better! I have been busy, starting back at uni; granted it's only 1 day a week but there is work to be done and I will tell you all about it; working at the Zabranos, trying to keep myself entertained plus our computer died, but I am back on and ready to update the web on my life.
First things first, I am making a beautiful lace wedding dress for a bride getting married on the 28th december. This doesn't leave a lot of time! Especially since the bride is also expecting a baby and so will keep on growing, meaning I need to wait until December before I can make the dress. I cant make it now because who knows how big the bump will be. I have however made the toile (for those dressmaking novices a toile is a prototype garment on which alterations to the pattern can be made without wasting the real fabric) and I am pleased to announce that it fit the bride like a well constructed glove!
here is my design...
...I hope you like, I'll keep you posted with my process of this dress from pattern to fabric to event!! xx

Knitwear x
Here's my version of knitwear. A knit jumper over a knitted pencil skirt accessorised with belt with large buckle, diamonte swallow brooch, small bag and of course - a trilby.
SHOES x
You can have a wonderful outfit but you will need the shoes to finish it off. For the knitwear outfit I would chose 2 different types of shoes.
A comfy but stylish pair of flats...
or add a colour clashing pair of heels brogues...x
